Higher Up serves current and graduated Hightstown High School students, including those who are under-resourced, by coordinating meaningful summer jobs and career-essential internships. These unique placements enable local students to explore their interests, begin to shape their studies and career paths – and reach towards their dreams.

In addition to matching your placement opportunity with a student vetted by interest, appropriateness and best potential for growth, we prepare students through a pre-placement support program in the areas of business etiquette and wardrobe basics, resume writing and interviewing, personal finance and wellness; and we build their confidence and readiness through engagement with motivational speakers and dedicated student-partner coordinators.

Once placements begin, Higher Up conducts periodic check-ins with you and your placed student to assess fit, address any needs and note progress.  At the close of placements, we facilitate program evaluations, letters of recommendation and thanks.  And all along the way, we promote your organization on our media outlets and at our events, acknowledging and celebrating your vital contribution to our local community.
